EN A Head Full of Dreams” is the seventh studio album by the British alternative rock band Coldplay. It was released on December 4, 2015, and it was produced by Rik Simpson and Stargate. An interesting detail about one of the tracks, “Kaleidoscope”, is the inclusion of an excerpt of President Barack Obama singing the song "Amazing Grace" at Clementa C. Pickney's funeral.

It was presented through the enthusiastic “Adventure of a Lifetime", which is accompanied by a music video in the middle of the forest and where all the band members are chimpanzees. The track is fantastic and introduces this new era in a phenomenal way, bringing back the joy present in the album "Mylo Xyloto". The second single from the album was “Hymn for the Weekend", which features vocals (uncredited) from singer Beyoncé, which for many was an obvious choice for a single because no one would waste the opportunity to release a collaboration with Beyoncé. The track follows in the same spirit as the previous single and continues to celebrate life and good mood, with an Indian theme in its music video. Three more singles were release, “Up&Up”, “A Head Full of Dreams” and “Everglow”, being the latter my favorite track of the album, which also features uncredited vocals, but this time, from actress Gwyneth Paltrow. For me, it was a failure not to have the opportunity to make the collaboration with Tove Lo on the track “Fun”, one of the singles of the album since it overflowed immense potential. Other than that, the choice of singles for this era was outstanding.

The album celebrates life and joy, leaving behind the darkest sounds of the predecessor “Ghost Stories”, which is one of my favorite albums of the band. This album proves to be a synonym of well-being, which raises our spirits while listening to it and even leads us to dance a little. It also symbolizes the unconscious recovery of Chris Martin, the sound of a newly single man entering the dance floor to lose his mind and find a new love, leaving behind the relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow.

From Chris Martin's point of view, the change of sound was something necessary for the band, not only because the rock sound eventually gave the feeling of an empty battlefield, but because the pop is their new frontier, since there is always something to be overcomed, something to be experienced and revolutionized. In any case, the band meets this with a great sonic leap and the most satisfying collection of songs they have written in years: inclusion is not a new concept for this band, but from the ecstasy of the eponymous track, which opens the album, to the gigantic “Up&Up”, which concludes it, they rarely sounded as open and exultant as in this project.
