PT A premissa deste livro fala-nos de Amber Salpone, uma diretora executiva do Festival de cinema de Leeds, e de Greg Walterson, um mulherengo assumido e o melhor amigo de Amber. Aliás, é ela quem o salva de muitas situações caricatas envolvendo outras mulheres. Amber e Greg têm sentimentos um pelo outro e no desenvolvimento da história percebemos que ambos repudiam o compromisso, mas por razões muito diferentes. Para além destas duas personagens, também ficamos a conhecer Jen e Matt, os melhores amigos de Amber e Greg respetivamente, que propositada e despropositadamente, começam a afetar a relação de Amber e Greg. Presenciamos muitas reviravoltas neste romance e é importante salientar que a importância que Amber dá ao chocolate torna-se um marco muito importante na história.

"Amor e Chocolate" é um romance muito bonito e leve que tem a capacidade de nos entreter numas belas tardes de primavera e aquilo que me chamou mais atenção foi o título. O amor e o chocolate são duas coisas das quais não consigo viver, por isso fiquei muito curiosa por perceber como seria o desenrolar desta história. Este livro é considerado um dos livros mais relaxados da autora porque não aborda temas demasiados profundos, pesados e dramáticos, algo que já é recorrente nas suas histórias.

"Amor e Chocolate" foi o segundo livro que li da autora e confesso que já não me lembrava muito bem da sua escrita. No entanto, lembro-me de adorar o primeiro livro dela que li, e este não desiludiu. Dorothy tem uma capacidade muito carismática e envolvente de descrever pormenores e sentimentos que nos deixam completamente presos às personagens e, além disso, consegue desenvolvê-las muito bem, o que nos revela um crescimento individual das personagens, que é algo que me agrada imenso nos livros que leio.

Como é óbvio este livro fez-me ansiar por chocolate e tentei encarnar um pouco a personagem da Amber. A característica mais engraçada que ela tem é a associação dos diferentes tipos de chocolate às personalidades das pessoas que ela vai conhecendo na sua vida. Confesso que se tornou uma tarefa difícil para mim porque a minha apreciação por chocolate é muito leiga em relação à dela.

Recomendo vivamente este romance para quem procura uma história descontraída, com alguns excertos de humor. Apesar de termos algum drama inserido na história, não é nada que nos faça vaguear pelos caminhos da depressão.

You will witness many twists and turns in this novel and it is important to point out that the importance that Amber gives to chocolate becomes a very important mark in the story.

"The Chocolate Run" is a very beautiful and light novel that has the ability to entertain us on a beautiful spring afternoon and what caught the most my attention was the title that was translated in Portuguese into “Love and chocolate”. Love and chocolate are two things that I can't live without, so I was very curious to see how this story would unfold. This book is considered one of the author's most relaxed books because it does not address deep, heavy, and dramatic topics, something that is already recurring in her books.

"The Chocolate Run" was the second book I read from the author and I admit that I didn't remember how her writing was in terms of flow and easiness . However, I remember loving it, and this one didn't disappoint. Dorothy has a very charismatic and engaging ability to describe details and feelings that leave us completely attached to the characters and, in addition, she manages to develop them very well, which reveals an individual growth of the characters, which is something that I enjoy very much in the books that I read.

It is obvious that this book made me crave for chocolate and I tried to embody a little Amber's character. The funniest feature she has is the combination of the different types of chocolate with the personalities of the people she is meeting in her life. I admit that it has become a difficult task for me because my appreciation for chocolate is very low compared to hers.

I highly recommend this romance to people who want to read a very chill story, with some touches of humor. Despite the little drama inserted in the story, it is nothing that makes us want to wander the paths of depression.
