Intriga em Monte Carlo/It All Began in Monte Carlo (Elizabeth Adler)

PT Elizabeth Adler é atualmente uma das minhas escritoras favoritas. A sua escrita é leve e fácil, o que permite que os livros dela nos façam viajar e passar umas boas tardes de entretenimento. A primeira sensação que tive, numa das tardes em que li este livro, foi de serenidade. O que por outras palavras se pode entender é que a história é de uma leveza tal, que nos permite esquecer o mundo à nossa volta e compenetrar-nos somente naquela realidade.

O livro "Intriga em Monte Carlos" conta a história de Sunny, uma mulher que está farta de um amor que não desenvolve e de um homem com medo de compromisso. Por isso, decide afastar-se e viajar em busca de paz e tranquilidade, mas a única coisa que encontra são intrigas, confusões e esquemas criminosos que podem envolvê-la como cúmplice involuntária. Para resolver todo este enredo conta com a ajuda de duas amigas e do seu amor. Um amor que percebe finalmente os seus erros e tudo fará para a conquistar de volta. 🕊️

Adler possui uma característica interessante que é trazer personagens de livros anteriores para novos livros. Outras das maiores curiosidades da autora é que muitos dos seus livros têm no título o nome de cidades, o que nos proporciona uma vontade imensa de viajar (pelo menos a mim, dá). Os detalhes narrados e a sua diversidade fez-me querer visitar cada uma delas e apreciar a sua beleza tal como a autora faz. Este foi o primeiro que li e confesso que foi amor à primeira vista.

EN Currently, Elizabeth Adler is one of my favorite writers of all time. Her writing is so light and subtle, that reading her books allows us to travel around the world and spend some pleasant afternoons. In one of those afternoons the first feeling that always filled my body was peacefulness. Which means by another words that the story is of a lightness that allows us to forget the world around us and concentrate only in that reality.

The book "It All Began in Monte Carlo" tells the story of Sunny, a woman who is tired of living a love that does not evolve and fed up with a man afraid of committing. For that reason, she decides to move away and travel in search for peace and tranquility, but the only thing she finds is intrigues, criminal schemes and troubles that can make her an unintentional accessory to the crimes. To solve this plot, she will have the help of two friends and her love. A love that finally realizes his mistakes and will try everything to win her heart again. 🕊

Adler has an interesting and peculiar characteristic of bringing characters of previous books to new ones. Another great curiosity of the writer is the use of the name of well-known cities on the title of her books, which gives us the urge to travel and visit that place (well, at least I get those feelings). The narrated details and her diversity make me want to appreciate the beauty of those cities like the writer does. This was the first book I read of Elizabeth Adler and I must admit it was love at first sight.

I really recommend reading this book.
