Blue (iamamiwhoami)

PT iamamiwhoami é o nome do projeto musical e multimédia criado pela cantora sueca Jonna Lee e co-produzido por Claes Björklund, arriscando-me a dizer que pouco (ou nada) deve ser conhecido por terras de Camões. Confesso que conheci o projeto através de um misterioso vídeo divulgado em 2010, sendo que muita gente pensou tratar-se de uma produção de Christina Aguilera, que iria lançar “Bionic” nesse ano.

Apesar de não ter acompanhado o projeto desde aí, surge em 2014, através do Last.fm, a sugestão de uma faixa intitulada “Vista” e o nome do artista soou-me familiar e decidi ouvir. Tenho a dizer que foi uma enorme surpresa, diferente daquele vídeo de 2010, a sonoridade era agradável e relaxante, sendo que até costumo dizer que os artistas suecos raramente falham, quer seja a Robyn, a Loreen, entre tantos outros, e este projeto era mais um para esse grupo. De seguida ouvi as faixas “Fountain” e “Hunting for Pearls”, que haviam sido lançadas previamente, estando o álbum “Blue” agendado para 7 de Novembro de 2014.

Até o álbum ser lançado o grupo foi presenteando os seus ouvintes com novas faixas ao longo dos meses mas, na verdade, o álbum é mais grandioso quando consumido como um todo, principalmente se for acompanhado pela sua componente audiovisual. Isto é, o projeto iamamiwhoami decidiu trabalhar com o coletivo sueco “Wave”, composto pela própria Jonna Lee, John Strandh e Agustín Moreaux, para produzir uma narrativa visual que iria dar vida a cada uma das faixas do álbum tornando-o numa espécie de filme, realçando ainda os figurinos concebidos por Mathieu Mirano.

O álbum acaba por ser uma verdadeira “pérola” vinda da escandinávia, composto por imagens que remetem para um ambiente aquático, vítreo, glaciar, onde a criatividade do projeto é revelada, estando sempre aliada a um certo mistério sombrio, em detrimento da fantasia. Podemos ainda realçar as faixas “Vista”, “Chasing Kites” e “Hunting for Pearls” que servem como uma espécie de hinos de novas descobertas, de dias melhores que estão por vir.

EN iamamiwhoami is the name of the musical and multimedia project created by Swedish singer Jonna Lee and co-produced by Claes Björklund, which I dare to say is not well known in our country. I confess that I met the project through a mysterious video released in 2010, and many people thought it was a production of Christina Aguilera, who was going to release “Bionic” that year.

Despite not having followed the project since then, the same appeared in 2014, through Last.fm, by a suggested track titled “Vista” and the name of the artist sounded familiar to me and I decided to listen. I have to say that it was a huge surprise, different from that video from 2010, the sound was pleasant and relaxing, and I even say that Swedish artists rarely fail, whether it's Robyn, Loreen, among many others, and this project was one more for this group. Then I heard the tracks "Fountain" and " Hunting for Pearls”, which had been previously released, with the album “Blue” scheduled for November 7, 2014.

Until the album was released the group was giving their listeners new tracks over the months but, in fact, the album is more impressive when consumed as a whole, especially if it is accompanied by its audiovisual component. That is, the iamamiwhoami project decided to work with the Swedish collective "Wave", composed by Jonna Lee, John Strandh and Agustín Moreaux, to produce a visual narrative that would give life to each of the tracks of the album making it some sort of film, also highlighting the costumes designed by Mathieu Mirano.

The album turns out to be a real “pearl” coming from Scandinavia, composed of images that refer to an aquatic, vitreal, glacial environment, where the creativity of the project is revealed, always being allied to a certain dark mystery, in favor of the fantasy. We can also highlight the tracks "Vista", "Chasing Kites"and "Hunting for Pearls'' that serve as a kind of hymns of new discoveries, of better days to come.
