Teenage Dream (Katy Perry)

PT Uma das principais “bíblias” da Pop, “Teenage Dream”, lançado a 24 de Agosto de 2010, revelou-se um marco histórico na carreira de Katy Perry, sendo o segundo álbum da história a possuir cinco singles número um (depois do álbum “Bad” de Michael Jackson em 1987), e o primeiro de uma mulher a atingir esse feito.

Se ao início muitos não valorizaram o álbum e deram críticas medianas, à medida que a cantora foi somando número 1’s em vários tops mundiais, os críticos começaram a ficar mais atentos ao que viria a ser um álbum cheio de sucessos.

O álbum foi tão bem conseguido que, para mim, não possui nenhuma faixa má, tendo cada uma o seu significado, e ainda mais para a cantora, que o compôs durante o seu casamento e, consequentemente, o seu divórcio, existindo inúmeras letras com as quais todos nós nos podemos relacionar, havendo momentos para imensa alegria e euforia e outros em que podemos relaxar um pouco e ficar a meditar.

Confesso que é dos meus álbuns preferidos de sempre e tenho um carinho enorme por ele, tendo um significado muito especial uma vez que está associado à minha atual relação, já desde 2011. Tive ainda a oportunidade de estar na estreia mundial da “California Dreams Tour”, que arrancou em Lisboa no dia 20 de Fevereiro de 2011, sendo que foi dos melhores concertos que vi até à data.

Aconselho a ouvi-lo na sua totalidade, sendo que deve ser quase impossível existir alguém que não conheça algum dos seus singles. Acredito que acabam por fazer parte das memórias de todos, quer seja com “California Gurls”, “Teenage Dream” e o hino “Firework”, que é a minha faixa preferida do álbum!

EN One of Pop's major "bibles”, "Teenage Dream", released on August 24, 2010, proved to be a milestone in Katy Perry's career, being the second album in history to have five number-one singles (after Michael Jackson's 1987 album “Bad”), and the first by a woman to achieve this deed.

If at first many did not value the album and gave it medium reviews, as the singer was adding Number 1's in several world tops, critics began to pay more attention to what would become an album full of hits.

The album was so well achieved that, for me, it does not have any bad tracks, each one having its meaning, and even more so for the singer, who composed it during her marriage and, consequently, her divorce, where there are numerous lyrics which we can all relate, there are moments for immense joy and euphoria and others in which we can relax a little and meditate.

I admit that it is one of my favorite albums ever and I have a huge affection for it, having a very special meaning since it is associated with my current relationship, since 2011. I also had the opportunity to be at the world premiere of the “California Dreams Tour”, which started in Lisbon on February 20, 2011, being one of the best concerts I have seen till this date.

I recommend you to listen to it in its entirety, believing that it must be almost impossible for someone to not recognize any of her singles. I believe that they end up being part of everyone's memories, whether with "California Gurls", "Teenage Dream" and the anthem "Firework", which is my favorite track on the album!
